Matt Porta is HCM’s Director of Practice and a principal in the Education market sector with experience in higher education and K-12 school buildings. He has dedicated his 25-year career to the design and construction of healthy, sustainable, and beautiful schools for students and teachers. Matt is passionate about the design and construction process and has a great appreciation for the people that he works with.  He believes the success of a project depends not only upon the ability of the entire team to work as one but also on the ability to find design solutions and opportunities that provide value to an owner.

As a technical design leader for the Denver office, Matt is an expert in the design and detailing of exterior wall and roof assemblies. He has worked throughout the state of Colorado and understands how each school district’s unique location will impact the design, detailing, and construction process.
