Soda Springs Park, located in the heart of Historic Downtown Manitou Springs, has undergone a major revitalization guided by a community-driven master plan. The project focused on enhancing the underused west end and updating the central play area near the event pavilion.
Phase One introduced a nature-inspired play area, decorative plaza, accessible walkways and seating, creek access designed with ecosystem and floodplain considerations, security lighting, and a flexible lawn for everyday use and community events.
Phase Two reimagined the central play area by blending repurposed equipment with new features, including a signature wooden play tower, a mountain-themed structure for younger children, and a large log climbing element. All improvements were carefully integrated into the existing landscape, prioritizing tree preservation and natural aesthetics.
Together, these upgrades enhance safety, accessibility, and community connection—while honoring the park’s natural beauty and historic significance.
