David is a Principal in Hord Coplan Macht’s Higher Education studio, with particular expertise in the planning, programming, and design of campus master plans, student centers, dining, and residence halls. With over 35 years of experience working with colleges and universities nationwide, he has completed projects at more than 90 institutions, ranging from $1 million to $300 million in construction value.
David has designed over 40 student centers and more than 9,000 beds of student housing, creating environments that foster community, engagement, and connection across campus. Recognized as a national thought leader in student life design, he is a frequent speaker for ACUI, ACUHO-I, NACAS, and ERAPPA, presenting on emerging trends and technologies shaping student-centered environments
