Brian Uher, MS, MSE, is the Director of Sustainability and brings 20 years of expertise in energy efficiency, decarbonization, and sustainable building practices. With a reputation for innovative leadership, he has a proven ability to develop cost-effective, technology-driven energy solutions for commercial, residential, and municipal buildings.

In this role, he guides HCM in implementing sustainable strategies that enhance the design and performance of high-efficiency and equitable buildings. His analytical and financial modeling skills, coupled with his experience in managing large-scale energy efficiency projects, position him as a key advisor to the firm’s leadership and clients. He oversees both internal and external teams, helping clients understand the financial benefits of sustainability while tailoring strategies to meet the specific needs of different market sectors.

Before joining HCM, he worked in the D.C. area, focusing on smart buildings and energy solutions in the residential and mixed-use markets. His experience includes managing over 200 energy efficiency projects across the Mid-Atlantic region for Verizon.
