The Medical Arts Pavilion is the signature building of the Yard 56 urban, mixed-use development project. Strategically located across from the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and along Eastern Avenue, a major east-west artery connecting Baltimore’s Greektown neighborhood to the renowned Inner Harbor, the Medical Arts Pavilion houses as its main tenant a federally qualified healthcare center that brings world-class, comprehensive care to some of the city’s neediest citizens.
Designed to fit into Yard 56’s contemporary industrial aesthetic, the 82,000-sf three-story facility houses a wide range of primary and specialty medical clinics, dental services, behavioral health, and on-site pharmacy. The clinic also provides interpreter services to ensure all patients have effective access to care.
The retail component at grade level respects the shopping experience along Bayview Avenue. The façade employs a clean-line expression of strong, classical influences to articulate the industrial heritage of the site. At the intersection of Eastern and Bayview Avenues, a glass and metal tower establishes the architectural identity for the site and provides a gateway to the Yard 56 community.
