The R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center (STC) recently completed a major expansion and renovation program. Hord Coplan Macht led the renovation portion of the phased program. The services included planning, user group meeting coordination and facilitation, design and construction administration.

The work involved a highly complex, phased design of new facilities for STC. The scope of work includes major infrastructure improvements, four ICU and three IMC units totaling 68 patient rooms, and associated support spaces and circulation.

The work also involved coordination with the design architect responsible for a new vertical expansion including multiple floor to floor connections between the new and existing buildings.
