The Glen Retirement System is a not-for-profit, continuing care retirement community (CCRC) serving seniors in the Shreveport, Louisiana market since 1898. This current project is a reinvention of their campus to expand and reposition their independent living offering a dedicated wing for assisted living, expand and rationalize their memory care along with various site improvements. These upgrades will be leveraged to transform the image of the campus as well. The initial phases of this repositioning will include a new sixty unit IL apartment building, which will also house an alternative dining venue and a wellness complex. Forty-eight existing mixed IL and AL units will be renovated to provide two purpose-designed assisted living households. An additional fourteen resident memory care small house will be added for a 50% increase in capacity and to improve staffing logistics. The first phase will also include the renovation of the existing commons, central kitchen expansion and the reconstruction of existing building exteriors.
