As part of the reinvention of The Glen Retirement System’s campus, upgrades to both the interior and exterior signage system were made to guide visitors and residents around the expanding campus and to better fit into the environment, complementing the architectural style established by the new independent living apartment building, resulting in a wholistic sense of place. The exterior signage picks up on molding details found in the architecture, creating a unified expression. The interior signage takes cues from patterns and metal work found throughout the interior finishes, allowing them to blend seamlessly as if they are curated artwork, while still providing functionality as wayfinding devices.
