Created to help fill a void of patient care after a nearby hospital shuttered, the Heart & Vascular Ambulatory Surgery Center expands cardiac patient care in Center City Philadelphia. In response to adapted guidelines for outpatient cardiac procedures, this facility is one of the earliest adapters of this type of care for outpatient procedures in Pennsylvania. The complexity of building in an urban environment supported locating the facility within a mixed use building with retail and residential sandwiching the center. Design for expansion to two operating rooms, including a Hybrid OR, the center improves the patient experience through its coordinated care model.
