Located in southwest Charlotte, this 45 classroom elementary school serves grades K-5. A 42 classroom, two story classroom wing is complemented by a series of one-story volumes containing administration space, multipurpose room and media center. Connecting these volumes is a clear story lighted corridor linking specialty spaces including the maker space, media center, music room and a visual arts classroom. The design team worked with the Owner to facilitate community engagement meetings collecting information from students, parents, and staff.
