The comprehensive LaSalle University Strategic Facilities Plan incorporates a broad range of study involving 12 disciplines, from external market and demographic factors to academic and facilities assessment, culminating in recommendations, campus development plan, and a final report. Examination of the 130-acre campus in north Philadelphia included coding and assessment of all spaces in the 1.7M square feet of existing buildings, resulting in recommendations for some demolition, renovation, and new construction.
The entire campus community was engaged in this planning process. Unique to the LaSalle campus is available space in recently purchased buildings, affording re-purposing opportunities. Major scheduled projects include a new business school, new arena, fitness center, and renovations to student housing.
This study also included two off-site centers in Bucks and Montgomery Counties.
