High Point Stadium Area Redevelopment Plan

The High Point Stadium Area Redevelopment Plan transforms underutilized land surrounding a newly constructed minor league stadium into a vibrant mixed-use downtown neighborhood. Church Avenue Plaza is the catalyst site for redevelopment, a celebratory gateway. Strategically the plaza provides physical and visual connection between the stadium concourse and Elm Street, a pedestrian-oriented corridor connecting the Amtrak Station and Downtown with the ballpark.

The Church Avenue Plaza will provide year-round activity, anchored by a 120-key hotel with ancillary retail and a 52,000 GSF mixed-use office building with food market and brewery experiences.  The terminus of Pine Street will provide a secondary gateway framed by a 40,000 GSF mixed-use building with retail, a 170-dwelling unit multifamily residential building and shared parking garage.  The residential courtyard elevated above the concourse will offer a communal hangout with dynamic views into the stadium.

Future phases of the development will provide additional mix of multi-generational housing and office uses with street-level retail and cultural experiences to enhance downtown. The orchestration and synergy of uses will put people back in downtown creating a vibrant and walkable neighborhood.
