The Eastern Wyoming College Career and Technical Education Center was designed around the desire to present a clear main entry, provide an important terminus to the campus’ radial sidewalk, control the scale of the building on the campus and along C Street, and provide a welcoming invitation to the community.

Integrating multiple programs for the school was another main focus of the project, and creating dedicated spaces for the schools cosmetology, health technology, and welding programs. Welding labs are located to the north decreasing the building height along the campus green space and sidewalk while allowing for easy delivery access from C Street and/or the west yard. Cosmetology is located on the southeast corner for high visibility along C Street and the campus entry. Health Technology is located on the second level along with the Cosmetology classrooms and Community Connections is oriented along the entry atrium for easy access.

This building provides connection for these diverse program types, and a place for relaxation and collaboration with an open atrium and diverse multi-purpose classroom environments.
