Black Hill Landscape Architecture

Germantown is a diverse and active mixed-use community close to Germantown Town Center, Black Hill Regional Park, and a planned transit station. The 107 acre development includes multifamily residential, senior living, office, retail and a hotel space totaling 3.2 million square feet. The multi-family program includes a diverse mix of building types and amenities. The urban design is organized around a central boulevard green space with interconnected pedestrian-oriented streets.

HCM landscape architects are a strategic team member in preparing design documents to meet the standards for approval by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. The landscape architecture design includes a large central green with walking paths, seating areas, shade pavilions and a terraced outdoor movie amphitheater, several small pocket parks, a bocce courtyard, a community garden space, streetscape, a club house courtyard including a swimming pool, spa, outdoor demonstration kitchen, television area, lounge seating areas and an exercise lawn.
