Originally conceived as a sister project to the Levine Hall IT Classroom, the Advanced Training Center infills a vacant corner block on a dense urban campus. Maintaining vehicular access to an adjacent parking deck and service areas while enhancing maintaining a lively streetscape are key planning challenges. The 80,000 SF of new construction will house technology classrooms, labs, administrative offices and an auditorium.
The building will support CPCC STEM programs including:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Computer Aided Machining
- Biomedical Equipment Technology
- Computer and Electrical Engineering technologies
- Integrated System Technology
- AE/FabLab (Digital Fabrication)
