Two Hord Coplan Macht (HCM) projects received prestigious Argentum Senior Living by Design Awards: Brightview Grosvenor and Riderwood by Erickson – Wellness Center.
Each year, Argentum names five projects that demonstrate design excellence. HCM is proud to have received two of the five in 2021. The awards recognize designs that prioritize and incorporate connection, an element that became invaluable to our well-being after a prolonged period of isolation as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Designed to fit seamlessly into the surrounding upscale, wooded community, Brightview Grosvenor is a contextually modern Assisted Living community that boasts the latest in amenities and design features. Its proximity to the Capital Beltway offers access to endless enrichment, including a vibrant arts scene in nearby Downtown Bethesda. On-site amenities include kitchens and serveries, dining facilities, theaters, fitness rooms, and more.
Riderwood recently opened the Wellness Center, a project that focuses on the senior community staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Located in Silver Spring, Maryland, the new building centralizes and adds to once scattered amenities including an indoor aquatic center, fitness studios, gym, and flexible spaces that can be used for community classes, lectures, or other educational events. Flexibility and providing a sense of community for all was a critical factor in the design of the Wellness Center and revised master plan.
