Hord Coplan Macht (HCM) announces Gary L. Hubler, AIA, as Managing Principal of the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office.
Gary joined HCM in 2022 from The FWA Group, where he served as President, bringing over 35 years of experience in the higher education and PK-12 markets. Some of his recent and notable projects include Alamance Community College, Student Services Center; Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, South Academy of International Languages; Guilford County Schools Newcomer’s School and UNC Charlotte, Levine Honors Student Housing.
Along with his role in representing the firm in the Pk-12 and higher education markets, as Managing Principal, Gary will be responsible for day-to-day operations at the Charlotte office, office activities and events, hiring location-based support staff, and other duties as needed.
Additionally, HCM is expanding its presence in the Charlotte market with the build-out of a new 7,500 sf office located in the Elizabeth on Seventh building at 1942 East 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204. The anticipated move-in is June 2023. JLL brokered the lease for this Crescent Communities property.
Gary L. Hubler has more than 35 years of experience in the design of higher education and K-12 projects. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of North Carolina Charlotte and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
