Hord Coplan Macht (HCM) is expanding its healthcare presence in the Washington D.C. and Virginia regions and has named Jamie Norwood, AIA, ACHA, EDAC, LEED AP BD+C, as Senior Healthcare Leader to manage the effort. 

“Jamie’s vast healthcare knowledge and his extensive experience in DC and Virginia makes him the perfect choice to lead our D.C. Metro Healthcare team,” HCM Healthcare Market Sector Leader, Jim Albert, said. “I am confident his leadership and expertise will meet many health system’s needs in the region.”

In this role, Jamie will work to promote HCM in and around the region, develop relationships with potential clients and strengthen existing relationships, ensure that every project goal is met or exceeded, and identify opportunities. 

With a career dedicated to enhancing the continuum of care, Jamie brings a wealth of knowledge and award-winning design experience to his new role. His portfolio includes a diverse range of inpatient and outpatient projects, reflecting his commitment to delivering spaces that optimize clinical outcomes and support clients’ strategic objectives.

As a leader of the Healthcare team at Hord Coplan Macht, Jamie is actively engaged in a number of design and construction projects running the full spectrum of healing environments. Jamie has committed his career to health and wellness, with a focus on improving the places and processes for the continuum of care. He is an award winning healthcare architect, and his experience includes a wide range of both new and renovated inpatient and outpatient projects that support his clients’ strategic goals, operational objectives, and clinical outcomes. One of Jamie’s biggest motivators is finding innovative and effective ways to improve human-centered design and make healing spaces that promote better outcomes.
