Hord Coplan Macht is pleased to announce that it received a Merit Award from the Potomac Chapter of the American Society for Landscape Architects (ASLA). Presented at the Potomac chapters’ annual gala on May 16, the awards program recognizes projects that demonstrate a superior quality of design and execution. This is the second recognition for the park, which received a Presidential Award of Excellence from the Maryland ASLA in 2018.
Greenbriar Local Park comprises 25-acres, complete with trails, spaces for interpretive play, soccer, basketball and volleyball, a forested stream valley, re-created meadows, and integrated stormwater management. Hord Coplan Macht led a multidisciplinary team, including public agency staff, through a collaborative process beginning with a sustainable sites initiative evaluation, through to design development and construction administration.
