Hord Coplan Macht (HCM) announces that it has added Christian Fussy, AIA, LEED AP, as a Principal in the firm’s Senior Living studio.

Fussy will be primarily focused on Senior Living and Healthcare work and will be working out of the firm’s Denver office.

“Christian brings significant expertise to our team in Senior Living and care environments, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the Senior Living studio at HCM,” says Cynthia Shonaiya, AIA, LEED AP, Principal, Senior Living Market Sector Leader, Hord Coplan Macht. “Christian has an expansive portfolio of work in this market, including large-scale life plan communities (CCRC’s), independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, short-term rehab, special care environments, and luxury active adult communities, as well as diverse international experience, which makes him an ideal addition to our team.”

Most recently, Fussy was a Principal at Lantz-Boggio Architects in Denver as a Principal of the Senior Living studio. Fussy’s recent and notable Senior Living projects include an 867,000-square-foot Life Plan community for Erickson Senior Living, a 1.3 million-square-foot Senior Living community, and a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation care center at the Disney Celebration community in Florida.

“I am grateful to be joining Hord Coplan Macht and to be continuing my passion for creating innovative environments for older adults,” says Fussy. “I believe design has an uplifting impact on people’s lives and that we are better together when we infuse collaboration, teamwork and thought leadership. I look forward to bringing these insights into the HCM organization and making a significant impact in my new role.”
