Every year, Hord Coplan Macht accepts a number of college level interns to help cultivate the next generation of architects and provide valuable experience to students graduating in the near future. This year, HCM proudly introduces our summer intern class of 2022, including our NOMA fellow!

Auriel Lewis

National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) Foundation Fellow

Auriel is originally from Columbia, MD and is currently a fourth-year student at Thomas Jefferson University. In addition to studying Architecture, she is also on the dance team at TJU. Outside of her studies and dance competitions, she enjoys hiking, painting, and swimming.

 

 

Anna Baughman

Anna is a Denver-based intern who is currently pursuing Master’s Degree in Architecture at the University of Colorado – Denver. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado – Boulder in Environmental Design, with an emphasis in Architecture and a Minor in Business. She loves spending her time golfing, skiing, hiking or reading, as well as being creative with painting, drawing, photography, etc. Discovering the architectural language of new places she travels is one of her favorite hobbies as well.

 

Justin Ziegler

Justin is a Baltimore-based intern and currently a fourth-year student at Virginia Tech’s 5-year Bachelor Architecture program. He is passionate about architecture, and is a strong believer in the power of design. He also loves hand drafting his designs. When he is not studying, he enjoys running and playing competitive video games.

 

 

Menna Abdelghany

Menna is a Charlotte-based intern who is currently a Master of Architecture student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Building Sciences with a concentration in Architecture Technology and Design from Appalachian State University. Menna is originally from Egypt! Her hobbies are traveling, snowboarding, hiking, soccer and sketching.

 

 

Elijah Miller

Elijah is a Denver-based intern who is working on his Masters of Architecture at University of Colorado, Denver. He holds a Bachelor’s of Art in Architecture from the University of San Diego. When he is not studying, volunteers for the Boy Scouts and Special Olympics of Colorado. His favorite architects are Rem Koolhaas and Kazuyo Sejima.
