Former brown field, the project is Registered LEED-Homes Silver and will join an active mixed-use community of retail stores, offices, and residences.
Renovation of an existing large volume factory structure with large, historically significant arched windows and light monitors. Responding to the market, it will provide a mix of unique loft and compact dwellings, office space, and parking.
The mix of small apartments allows for privacy, yet provides for social interaction and community-building through the richness of the amenities, including access to the pool, restaurants, and retail within Clipper Mill. Through transportation by the Light Rail, the Tractor Building’s residents will have ready public transit access to both downtown Baltimore, as well as the growing suburban centers of Hunt Valley and Severn. In addition, their rail access extends to Washington, DC via Light Rail’s connection to Penn Station, Camden Station, and their multi-modal options to the District’s Union Station.
