Waverly Gardens Independent Living

Project Overview:
- Waverly Gardens is an age-restricted, independent living apartment complex and features over 100 one and two-bedroom apartments.
- This project was the first in Maryland to receive State Green Building Tax Credits and designed to LEED Silver certification. Green features include a reflective roof, solar water heating and low VOC finishes throughout.
- The building, though in harmony with the brick veneer architecture of the surrounding community, is unique in its juxtaposition of white brick, fiber cement panels and a highly reflective metal roof, in contrast to the more traditional red brick. These materials were chosen in part for their energy-saving characteristics.
