The project includes the conversion of the existing Cath Lab as well as multiple adjacent spaces 3,800 square foot to the state of the art hybrid operating room suite that includes the operating room; control room; equipment room and all the supporting spaces that serve both Cath Lab function and Open-heart surgery.

The project went through multiple phases of analyses for different imaging systems to pick the most flexible imaging system to support the newly implemented Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program at Sinai.

Building a physical mockup and using Lean Led design process for the room gave the clinical staff the opportunity to examine and test the space; function and the ability of the room to support the intended TAVR program.

In addition to the  Siemens Artis Zeego system the Hybrid operating room had five ceiling mounted booms as well as state of the art integration system that connect and navigate imaging system output with live feed and conferencing ability for teaching.
