The Baltimore Sun featured Hord Coplan Macht’s design of the hospital’s new Center for Neonatal Transitional Care (CNTC). The project expands the Center from 44 to 50 beds and significantly enhances the quality of patient care by means of new technology and treatment protocols. As the only pediatric transitional care hospital in the mid-Atlantic region serving infants, MWPH’s expansion of its infant transitional care space enables the hospital to redefine and modernize a critically important patient care unit. The new space accommodates more children; reflects current patient care and family education standards; is adaptable to a wider range of patient diagnoses; meets the individual medical needs of each child; and is adaptable to future developments in patient care and technology.
