Hord Coplan Macht Wins Maryland Green Registry Leadership Award
The Maryland Green Registry recognizes organizations that have shown a strong commitment to the implementation of sustainable practices, the demonstration of measurable results and the continual improvement of environmental performance with the leadership awards.
Specifically, Hord Coplan Macht was recognized for its leadership in sustainable design. As one of the nation’s leading architecture firms, Hord Coplan Macht has extensive experience working on LEED and sustainable projects that include new construction, renovations and major additions. The firm has 77 LEED projects (37 certified equaling over 3 million square feet) and reports energy data on all of its projects as part of the AIA 2030 Commitment. More than 66% of Hord Coplan Macht’s technical personnel are LEED Accredited Professionals and the firm donates an average of 2,000 volunteer hours every year to our local community. In addition, the firm has an active Sustainability Committee working on integrating sustainability into their office, design process, projects, and community. The committee meets monthly and organizes initiatives and presentations providing resources, research, and education.
