HCM is a great place to work! The office is located in downtown Baltimore in the Inner Harbor, and with its open office design, every workstation has terrific views of the city. We have been able to attract and retain some of the best and brightest design principals and staff in the country, primarily because of the many opportunities to work on exciting and varied project types.
The firm has a corporate culture that promotes collaboration, and everyone contributes to the success of the firm. Weekly staff meetings provide a forum for learning what others in the office are working on, and sharing ideas and new information.
With staff representing more than 10 countries around the world, 40% of our in-house staff are women, and 30% are minority (African American, Asian, Indian, etc.).
We recognize the importance of the relationships between building, site and community. We believe there is true value in sustainability and encourage environmental stewardship in our entire team. HCM has twenty two individuals who are Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professionals.

SENIOR ARCHITECT DESIGNERS
Hord Coplan Macht, an interdisciplinary architecture and landscape architecture practice, is seeking senior and associate level designers (10 to 15 years experience) with successful experience in multifamily residential, mixed-use and urban design work. Available positions offer the opportunity to strengthen the design and market direction of a rapidly growing firm committed to good urban design and planning. Candidates must possess excellent communication, graphic and presentation skills, and be able to lead, organize and mentor a team of designers. Candidates with a history of design awards and published projects are preferred.
Hord Coplan Macht’s current projects include planning, urban infill, transit oriented development and mixed use projects. The firm is an active participant in the American Institute of Architects, the American society of Landscape Architects, the Congress for New Urbanism, the American Planning Association, the Urban Land Institute, and the National Association of Home Builders.

Successful experience in varied scales of healthcare work is required, including both new construction and renovations.
