Candidates must possess excellent design, graphic and presentation skills, and have knowledge in construction documentation and CADD (Revit preferred). Professional Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture required, and 3 to 6 years experience.

Role and Responsibilities

Hord Coplan Macht is seeking a senior level architect (15 years plus experience) to develop a housing studio in the Denver office of our firm. The position offers the opportunity to develop the direction of a new market.  Interested applicant should be a motivated, self-reliant individual with excellent working knowledge of the regional housing market and be an active participant in the Urban Land Institute or other industry groups.  Applicant should be experienced in business development, client presentations and management, as well as project management, preparation of construction documents and construction administration.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in architecture required, Master’s degree a plus. State of Colorado licensure in architecture is required. Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be highly collaborative.

Hord Coplan Macht prides itself in giving aspiring architects a chance to learn the ropes. As an intern I have learned an incredible amount about how an architectural office works. I have had the chance to go on site visits and work on interesting projects in both the Housing and Education studios. The opportunity to work here has definitely inspired me and I know it has inspired countless others as well. I decided to find out how by catching up with a couple of alumni from the HCM internship program to see where they are in their careers and how HCM has impacted their lives.
