James has more than 20 years of experience working for architectural firms and has been involved in the design and construction phases of numerous types of projects. He is a member of HCM’s Sustainable Design Core Committee and the Quality Control Committee.

James received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics/Engineering from Washington and Lee University in 1983 and his Master of Architecture from Tulane University in 1987. He is a licensed architect in the State of Maryland and has been active in the Baltimore Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. He is also NCARB certified, a LEED-Accredited Professional and a member of CSI.
