Brian is a Principal in the Multifamily/Mixed-use studio with over 27 years experience. He is an award-winning designer and architect with a wide array of experience spanning multifamily, mixed-use, retail and senior living ranging in construction cost from $5m – $100m.  Brian brings specific expertise in high rise mixed use residential buildings.

Brian is an expert in podium typology and high rise design. He authored HCM’s White Paper on “Design Strategies for Podium and Wrapper Buildings” and has edited subsequent editions to respond to changes in the building code. He also leads the firm’s quality control committee.  He is a licensed architect registered in Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, Missouri, Texas and the District of Columbia.

Brian is currently leading the design of a new 24-story mixed-use building in the Power and Light District of Kansas City, Missouri called Two Light.

He’s a native of “Bawlmer ‘hon” and his favorite restaurant is Petite Louis in Roland Park.
